As I was going through college people often posed the question, “What are you going to do when you graduate?”  Even after graduation, I was still unable to answer that question.  I did, however, continue to think about teachers and coaches that had significantly impacted my life. I knew that I wanted the opportunity to positively impact others in the same way.  I believed God was directing me towards a career in teaching.  At that point, I re-enrolled in college to obtain my teaching certification.  Through prayer, I was able to begin my teaching career in 2005 at Callaway High School in Hogansville, GA.  I had the privilege of teaching mathematics as well as coaching football and wrestling.  After 10 years as a teacher, I decided to pursue the opportunity to continue practicing servant leadership in another role.  Through the prayers of many people and His guidance, God has blessed me with the opportunity to serve in the capacity of assistant principal here at Heard County Middle School.

I am excited about all the great things going on in Heard County, and I am humbled to be a part of it. I am looking forward to the opportunity to serve the students, teachers, and parents of Heard County Middle School as we continue striving to be a school of excellence. Go Braves!
