This is a message from the Heard County School System. Severe weather in the form of sustained 30-40mph winds, 3-4 inches of rain, and a front that has tornado potential is scheduled to move through our area between 4am-8am in the morning. Therefore, we are delaying school for the first two hours of the day.
Please add two hours to the current bus pick-up times, school late bell, etc. We plan for school to dismiss tomorrow afternoon at the regular time. I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause. However, we are likely to have down trees, power lines, etc. The last thing we need is for students to get hurt waiting for the bus or hurt teen drivers who are inexperienced with these situations.
Thank you for your understanding.
Mike Roberts, Superintendent.
